SN75DP139: Seeking guidance for swapping out the MCDP2850 for the SN75DP139

Part Number: SN75DP139

Below is a block diagram of a cypress docking station.  Inside the block diagram there is the same Megachips STDP4320 part to separate out the video signals.  However, in their design, they are outputting an HDMI and a display port.  Then the HDMI signal gets converted using a DP to TMDS IC – TI SN75DP139.  On ours, our STDP4320 IC is outputting 2 DP signals and we convert 1 of them to HDMI using Megachips MCDP2850.  I was wondering if we could implement this solution into our project as the MCDP2850 is much more expensive.  I must be missing something here because it’s basically replacing a non-TI part with a TI part.  This reference design is called EZ-PD CCG4.

Thanks
