Hi,

Our customer has a question about SN65LVDS93A.
I'm posting the question for the customer:

Does the SN65LVDS93A support hot-swap?

They would like to plug and unplug a LVDS connector with the power on.

Hi Takishin-san,

Electrically it should be okay but it also depends on their receiver. LVDS SerDes are not really designed for hot swap, so if they want to guarantee this in their system, they should either implement hot-swap support on their own or switch to DVI and use something like the TFP410 or TFP401A.
