Dear all,

For TPS65988, here is only one I2C1_IRQ1 for the two ports application, how to distinguish different ports interrupt in real application?

Hi John,

Each port has its own I2C address. For example, based on your ADCIN2 strapping, each port has its own address. For example, with setting 0, Port 1 will be address 0x20, and port 2 will be 0x24. Setting 3 will be Port 1 is 0x23 and port 2 is 0x27.

Hi Eric,

For I2C1_IRQ1, is it also related to the I2C address?
In customer design, the I2C1_IRQ1 will trigger the EC to read the event, in our register, is the port1 and port2 interrupt event separately?
Do they need to clear the interrupt event for both ports? How they can differentiate the two ports event?

Hi John,

Yes, if you use setting 0 for ADCIN2, reading from device address 0x20 will tell you the interrupts on port 1, readin from device address 0x24 will tell you the interrupts on port 2. They will need to check and clear the interrupts on both ports.
