TUSB522PEVM: ESD Queries

Hi Support,

For TUSB522PEVM,  noticed that there are no any ESD protection on the board, so according to our TUSB3.1 (In/Out) connect board,

1. Do the ESD need to protect ? such as ESD224 for USB3.0.
2. The ESD IC on the board would affect the Eye Diagram?
3. So which should be better (ESD on board or not).
