Dear TI Sirs

When having DisplayPort Alternate Mode with two lanes and USB3.1 features active in TUSB1046A-DCI and TUSB1064 components is it possible to disable and enable USB3.1 communication by writing with I2C channel some bit combination to internal registers of these components but still at the same time having active DisplayPort communication? I couldn't find any USB3.1 communication enable/disable bit(s) from command register.

You can put USB into low power state, but there is no way to disable USB.

Or you can configure TUSB1046/64 to be 4 lane DP, and disable two lanes.

This is self evident but I don't want to change alternate mode but go on using 2 lane + USB3.1 mode and just disable and enable USB3.1 communication. Is it really so that this is USB3.1 can't be disabled without changing alternate mode?

One possibility is to use Tusb1002A (which has USB3.1 communication enable signal) component in front of Tusb1046A-DCI and Tusb1064 but Tusb1046A-DCI, Tusb1064 and Tusb1002A all have USB3.1 redriver features.

You can use HD3SS460 which is a mux without the redriver with TUSB1002A and TDP142. TUSB1002A provides redriver for USB while TDP142 provides redriver for DP.
