DS90UB954-Q1EVM: ALP Margin Analysis function can't be found

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, USB2ANY

Hi team,

Could you please kindly help to explain why the Margin Analysis function can't be found in ALP(V1.57.0010)? As following picture shows. I have tried to download the latest version and download the updated version, it still doesn't work. I can found this function in before version, but after update to the latest one, i can't found this function now.

Best regards

Jessica

  • Hello Jessica,

please un-install ALP from your PC. After that go to the following link and:
    1) download and install ALP again
    2) then download and install the ALP profile updater.

  • Hi Hamzeh,

Thank you very much for your reply.

After I un-install ALP form my PC, and re-install ALP according to the procedure you provide to me. I found I can't open the following yellow masked selection after I connect the hardware. I tried to un-install(removing all installed file by manual)  then restart my PC then re-install and then restart my PC for twice, but it still doesn't work. Could you please kindly help to give more suggestions on this case. Thank you very much.

    Best regards

    Jessica

  • Jessica,

    a) Please check you have admin permission on the PC. Without proper admin permission software will not install correctly (see status bar comment  below)

    b) Also, please check what other hardware are connected to PC. Connect only this board and try. I think even though ALP is showing "Hardware Connected" it is not connected to your 954EVM but to some other USB device and therefore failing to open "USB2ANY/Aardvark Setup" option.

    c) Are you trying it on Windows 10 or Windows 7? Please give your system details.

    d) Under "Help -> About this Program" you should see "Built on Monday, December 10, 2018" as shown below. Please confirm.

    e) For some reason your status bar is not coming properly.

    It should be as below

    Thanks,
