Hello,

I have a question about the RID.

When I set the MODE 14 = Low (4 lane), all the input LVDS terminal has internal termination RID.

When I set the MODE 14 = High (2 lane), the lane A1 and A3 does not have internal termination RID.

Is the my understanding above correct?

Our customer use the SN65LVDS with the MODE 14 = high.

How should the customer set the unused pin (A1 and A3)?

So, I want to know is there internal termination at A1 and A3.

Please see section 9.3.1 of the datasheet for instructions on what to do with used LVDS data lanes.

Thank you for your fast reply.
I saw section 9.3.1 of the DS.
There are two cases described as figure 12 and 13.
Which should the customer use it?
In the 2 Lane setting, how about the internal termination at A1 and A3 input?

Hi Naoki-san,

Oh I see your point about Rid. The SWAP pin controls whether or not Rid is connected (see pin 45 in pin functions table in datasheet). So they would choose either Figure 12 or Figure 13 based on the SWAP pin connection. So for example, if SWAP is low they would use Figure 12.
