TPD1E10B09: On the case of reverse polarity

Datasheet of TPD1E10B09 is described "Place pin 1 on the signal line" on page 8 and page 10.

When connect reverse polarity (pin 2 on the signal line), what is occur problem?

I think that TPS1E10B09 have no polarity and reverse is no problem, is it correct?
