DP83822I: What happen when VDDIO exceeds Recommended Operating Conditions

Part Number: DP83822I

Hi team,

Could you explain what happens when VDDIO exceeds Recommended Operating Conditions(=3.45V)?

Regards,

Saito

  • Hi team,

Let me add a condition to my question. The duration VDDIO exceeds 3.45V is from powering VDDIO up to deassert RESET. The VDDIO will not exceed absolute maximum voltage.

    Regards,
    Saito
  • Hi Saito-san,

When VDDIO is outside the ROC, normal device operation is not guaranteed.
Meaning that the behavior of the device parameters in the DS are not guaranteed.
The device will not be damaged since you are not exceeding ABS MAX.
If the final resting voltage is within the ROC you are ok to operate, however, I would recommend doing a device reset by using either RESET pin or register access to 0x1F. This should be performed after the device is back in the ROC.
