Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DP159,
Dear Team,
My customer used DP159 on their board design. They met the display issue recently which is relative to the clock stretching.
After implementing the snoop mode, the problem has been solved.
But they cannot figure out why TI's reference circuit (like figure 31) in datasheet is for clock stretching support case. Only put the note below.
They thought that if the marketing have the monitors that doesn't support clock stretching , Re-timer should be design to for monitor all over the world and no matter support clock stretching or not clock stretching .
It is mean the SDC/SDA cannot go through the re-timer as default design , but why is TI's default design go through the SN65DP159?
From FAE perspective, actually this is not the first time that the customer meet this issue and need to modify their schematic again for next build.
So I hope we can improve this in the datasheet, then we can support the customer better.
Regards,
Jim
