I use 87D as PD source. 87D sometimes don't negotiate port partner.
When I connect to Lenovo Yoga 910 which power is OFF by USB Type-C to C cable, 87D cannot negotiate.
After that, I turn on Yoga910 while connected, but 87D still cannot negotiate. Once reconnect the cable, then 87D start negotiate.
I checked PD negotiation. When this issue is happened, 87D send Source Capabilities messages again and again but no response from Yoga.
After about 8sec, 87D send Hard Reset 3 times and give up negotiation.
Other vender's PD controler can negotiate with Yoga in the same condition.
Would you tell me why 87D cannot negotiate and teach me workaround?
I find same issue with HUAWEI P20 and Mate10.
