TUSB546A-DCI: Asking for the SBU pull down resistor design

Part Number: TUSB546A-DCI

Hi team,
TUSB546 suggest the SBU1/SBU2 need pull down 2M ohm to GND.
HMD follow DP spec AUX pull 1M to GND.But it will makes two resistors paralleled.
Are we still suggest pull 2M to GND?

The 2MΩ pull-down resistors on SBU1 and SBU2 are representative of the leakage of ESD and EMI/RFI components including termination to ensure no floating nodes, and are intended to show compliance with zSBUTermination in USB Type-C r1.1.

The 1M pullup/pulldown on AUX is part of the DP AUX structure to properly set the common mode voltage on AUXP (0 - 0.4V) and AUXN (2.7-3.6V).

You need both of them on SBU and AUX.

    Thanks

  • Hi David,
    thanks for help.
customer didn’t found the clear definition of AUXP(0-0.4V) and AUXN(2.7V-3.6V) on the DisplayPort Standard(v 1.3) document, could you advise what’s section has the definition for this?

Please check Table 3-4: DisplayPort AUX Channel Electrical Specifications. The voltage in my previous response comes from the TUSB546 datasheet.

    Thanks
