Alternative to MAX14827A

Hi team,

I just bumped onto the IO-Link transceiver from Maxim: MAX14827A

Do we have any alternative to this one?

    TI doesn't have this dual IO link driver yet.

    Adrian,

    As Hao said, we do not currently have a dual driver IO-Link transceiver.  However, the MAX14827A requires external TVS protection diodes, and the TIOL111 and TIOS101 devices have integrated TVS diodes and do not require any external protection.  When you look at the PCB area for a MAX14827A with external diodes compared with a TI solution of one TIOL111 and one TIOS101 (or second TIOS111) with integrated solution, we are very competitive.  The MAX14827A also have two internal LDOs for 3.3V and 5V rails.  The final solution may not need both, but there are versions of both the TIOL111 and TIOS101 with integrated 3.3V and 5V LDOs, as well as ones without an integrated LDO allowing flexibility on their power design.  If both 3.3V and 5V rails are needed, then a 3.3V and 5V version of TIOL/TIOS devices could be used together.
