DS110DF410: Auto Adapt Complete bit (bit[6] of cdr_status register)

Hi Team,

My customer set "No Adaptation" mode, Register 0x31 bit [6:5] =00.

However, he has found Auto Adapt Complete bit (bit[6] of cdr_status) sometimes shows "1" or "0" after each power-on.
He said Auto Adapt Complete bit shows both "1" and "0" in random order although "No Adaptation" mode is set.

Is it possible case for DS110DF410?
I would like to ask just it is possible case or not.

Greetings Yaita,

I duplicated your findings in lab and it is indeed possible that we get auto adapt complete bit on or off even though we are in adapt mode 0.
This is a side effect of digital state machine.

Can we completely ignore this bit [6] result when using in Manual CTLE mode (Adapt Mode 0) ?

Hi Kawai-San,

In manual adapt mode 0 yes we can ignore this bit. It's operation in adapt mode 0 is not deterministic.
