Part Number: TUSB8041

Hi Experts,

Our customer wants to use our TUSB8041 in their project, can you kindly help to review attached schematic to see if there is any issues?

Thanks a lot!TUSB8041_Schematic.pdf

  • Jacky,

I will take a look at this schematic and get back to you tomorrow. In the meantime, please refer to the document linked below to help review the schematic.

  • Jacky,

    Some notes on your schematic.

    • USB_Vbus is only pulled low with 10K resistor, this pin must be connected to VBUS through a 90.9-KΩ ±1% resistor, and to ground through a 10-kΩ ±1% resistor from the signal to ground. This enables Hub to function in correct manner.
    • SMBUSz/SS_SUSPEND should be pulled high for I2C mode. Please double check connection to external EEPROM, specifically I2C pull up resistors.
    • Since FULLPWRMGMT is pulled high, PWRCTLx/BATENx pull up resistors should be removed. If downstream port is unused, leave unconnected.
    • For OVERCURx: If downstream port is unused, pull pin high with 4.7-kΩ pull up resistor to VD33. Overcurrent reporting required for USB-IF Compliance.

  • Jacky,

Is there any more support needed for this issue? If so please reply with any relevant details so that I can further assist you. For now I will be marking this thread as "TI Thinks Resolved". If you have resolved your issue, please post the solution to the original problem/post for others with similar issues.
