SN65DSI84: DSI and LVDS length matching

Part Number: SN65DSI84

Dear TI technical support,

We have been using your SN65DSI84 chip for a while and as far as I understood DSI and LVDS differential pairs have to be matched within each other, not only the static phase of each individual pair, but all the pairs to each other as well (match group).

But since then I have seen on many monitor PCB-s that they don't care about matching the data lanes within each other, they can have different lengths and they only tune the static phase. Is this a correct approach, or am I supposed to match all the data lanes within each other (10 lanes in case of LVDS)?

Please, let me know your thoughts on this!

Greetings,
