TPS25740B: Current limit issues

Hi, we have a strange issue.. we have TPS25740B design in conjunction with UCC28780 for AC / DC USB C 65 application. but we are seeing an issue where at 15Volts and 20Volts, even though the current is set at 3AMP, but we are only able to get up to 1.9AMP before shutdown, reset back to 5Volts. The other two voltage 5V and 9Volts are able to extend up to 3.5AMP before shutdown.

The setting for TPS25740B is for 65Watts..

Would you be able to share with me a picture of your configuration for the TPS25740B? I want to see your connections to pins PSEL and HPWR

Hello Chia,

Apologize for the late reply, I was out traveling for business.

I would check your PCTRL signal and make sure that it is pulled high. Having this line pulled low changes the maximum current that is advertised by the TPS25740B
