DS90UB954-Q1: camera flick issue

Hi TI,

We are using DS90UB954-Q1 to connect one camera module with Coax, camera is running 1080p@27fps,there will flick ,flick is in attachment,could you help point out what's the possible reason and how to solve it ?

hello,

Please use the internal pattern generator to identify the location of the problem. You can identify it step by step.

1) First you can run the pattern generator on the 954 with the same data type and resolution of your camera and observe the picture.
2) After that run the pattern generator on the 953 with the same data type and resolution of your camera and observe the picture.
3) similar thing you can do using the Pattern generator of the Image sensor.

We have use internal pattern generator both on 954/943, camera flick issue never happened.

After that, we have disable adaptive EQ, this configuration will improved camera flick issue,but this solution only reduce the probability of recurrence, flick issue still happened.

Could you provide AEQ register configuration to us? we uses coax cable with 1.5m length.

Hi BR,

for 1.5m cable it is recommended to use the default register values for AEQ.

You have said, by using the Pattern generator on the 953 or the 954, the issue never happened. This indicates that you have probably wrong settings on the Image sensor.
Also please check the used PCLK and the power supply rails of the imager.
