Our customer change to our TPS65987D Type-C solution from NXP solution before. this is their first time to use Type-C on their Spectrum analyzer and DSO products. So currently customer is very care about the power consumption and power loss at signal transmission mode and PD mode.
Firstly, I can see the power consumption from the table. But I thinks it is only for the 3.3V power loss at active mode.
But if we use it as PD to deliver 20V/5A or 15V/5A power to equipment battery system to charger the battery. And we also need the device LDO as output to power on the system MCU. So I don’t whether we have related documents to test the power loss at this mode.
Because our device integrate two mosfet and LDO in side. So I think it will have power loss when power delivery. We need these parameters to evaluate the efficiency and system fever case. So do you have some test data about this? Or could you have us to test the power loss at this conditions?
