Hello TIer,

I have view question about TUSB8020B-Q1.
1. For usb BC1.2 (CDP) charge protocol, the way mean two channel both support usb typeA charger and communicaion?

2. The device can work without MCU and EEPROM?

3. why need use device's pin 9 to detection usb port?

1.Charging modes on both channels can be enabled independently and both port 1 and port 2 support the listed charging modes. See section 8.3.1 Battery Charging Features in datasheet for more details.

2. This is correct TUSB8020B can operate without MCU and EEPROM in its default mode. However additional features such as Automatic mode for battery charging require additional configuration through SMBus or I2C mode.

3. Pin 9 is used to detect when there is a upstream USB host detect and enables the USB state machine inside the device.
