DS90UB948-Q1: Interrupt handling capability of GPIOs

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

For Deserializer I2C lines we have interfaced Touch and NFC controller and below 2 GPIOs used as interrupt lines.

GPIO0(SDOUT)

GPIO1(SWC)

Let me know these GPIOs are capable for interrupt handling....

  • Hi Pradeep,

I checked collateral for the DS90UB948 and GPIO0/1 cannot be configured as interrupt pins in the way that INTB_IN acts like an interrupt pin. If your controller has an interrupt signal, you can configure GPIO0/1 as inputs and monitor the status of those pins; however, they won't clear upon read like the INTB_IN, nor will they automatically pull another pin low. I am not sure I answered your question, so please let me know if you have other specific questions.

    Thanks,
    Sally
  • GPIO0/1 configured as inputs. NFC controller and touch controller interrupt out are connected to deserializer as inputs to this GPIOs. is this GPIOs are capable of handling interrupts??

  • If you just want to monitor the status on the GPIO pins, then yes, it can handle interrupts. You should make sure you are complying within the voltage and current specs for the pins as listed in the D/S.
