DS92LV2422: Control of the moment that the configuration settings are loaded so all conditions are correct before the initial power-up sequence?

Part Number: DS92LV2422

Hi,

On behalf of a customer I am asking the following:

Currently we are modifying an existing design so that we can interface with the DS92LV2422 deserializer.

Because we are using pin strapping to define the control setting we have to take care that the status on the bus DS92LV2422 output pins are correct at the moment they are loaded. The specification of the device only states that configuration is loaded during the initial power-up sequence of the device.

The question we have is, do we have any control of the moment that the configuration setting are loaded so that we can make all conditions correct before the initial power-up sequence.
Please can you tell us when the initial power-up sequence takes place in more detail?

1)     Can/is the initial power-up sequence controlled by the PDB pin?
e.g. May we assume that the initial power-up sequence starts after PDB pin change from “0” à “1” (after the device is powered and supply voltages are stable).

2)     Does the device starts the power-up sequence if VDDIO = 0 while all other supply voltages are present?

In the pin function table it is stated that the control registers are RESET when PDB pin is set to “0”.

Question: Does this also mean that configuration settings, that are made by pin strapping, are reset if the PBD pin is toggled from “1” à “0” after power-up? (or are they maintained)

If reset are they then read again once PDB pin is toggled back from “0” à “1” again?
