Hi Team,

I would like to confirm if estimation for required band width is correct with below use case.

- image size : 1920 x 1080

- 60fps

- Blanking rate = 1.1

- CSI Output format of Image sensor : Raw12

Required Data Bandwidth : 1920*1080*1.1*12 = 1.642Gbps (<3.42Gbps)

Is it correct?

I especially want to confirm whether "Raw12" format means "12 bits for 1 pixel".

Hi Fujihara-san,

You are correct in thinking RAW12 format means 12 bits per pixel. For the total CSI-2 payload rate, to be on the conservative side, I added in overhead margin for blanking (15% ) and CSI-2 (10%).
(1920*1080*60*12*(1.15+.10)) = 1.866 Gbps
