Deserializer selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV16, SN65LV1224B, SN65LVDS822

Hello,

If we have one deserializer which could translate the serial 12bit  LVDS  data to parallel output? The LVDS timing is as following:

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

Unfortunately, we don't have a deserializer that can accept this serialized LVDS input.
Is there any flexibility on the serializer side to add more (or less) bits? If that is the case, please look at SN65LV1224B (10 bit + start & stop bits) or DS92LV16 (16-bit) SerDes devices. The serializer would have to match what these deserializers expect in order for this to work.

  • Another possible option is the SN65LVDS822 in "2-Lanes 14-Bit Mode":

There's two extra bits, and the internal PLL is operating at 14x the input clock frequency.

  • Hi,

Thank you for your reply, except the 12bit LVDS data, there also have frame clock and bit clock. So the customer hope find one deserializer which could realize the serial  to parallel translation.

    Best regards

    Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

We don't have a deserializer that will deserialize the LVDS data with the timing you provided. If they are willing to make some changes on the serialized data format, then one of the devices we suggested may work. For example, if they are wiling to add 2 "dummy bits" to make it 14-bit, then SN65LVDS822 may work (using only 1 lane).
