Is the DS125MB203 usable as an USB3.1 switch ?
The correct answer is NO, it is not usable for USB3.1 the reason is: the DS125MB203 inputs are terminated and the USB3 interface chip looks for a termination on the SS lines to detect if there is a host connected.
With the result the interface chip sees always the termination of the DS125MB203 and try to communicate on this line (and don't cares if the is a host) and never fall back to USB2.0.
