DS90UB960-Q1: Single CSI-2 Output Port

Dear TI Experts,

Now I am using DS90UB960-Q1, however, FPGA has limited MIPI CSI-2 interface, so I have to use only one CSI port0.

Our application requirements are 4 cameras with 2Megapixel /1080P at 15fps, can DS90UB960-Q1 still work? And how to evaluate it by formula or other tools?

BTW, If i select DS90UB964-Q1, can DS90UB964-Q1 work? Thank you!

We need to know the serializer and the data format.

With a single port UB960 can output at 1.6Gbps per lane over 4 lanes.

The key point is that you need check the camera output data rate in your case, they are one pair. The limitation is that the FPD-Link rate should catch 96x request, and the CSI2 port rate limitation as well.
for your video format, it could work.

Hi Steven,
Our application requirements are 4 cameras with 2Megapixel /1080P at 15fps, YUV(16bit) output,
So 1920 x 1080 pixels = 2,073,600 pixels per frame;
2,073,600 x 16 bits x byte/8 bits = 4,147,200 bytes per frame;
4,147,200 x 15 frames per second = 62.208 MB;
62.208 x 4 = 248.832 for 4 cameras;
Because UB960 can output at 1.6Gbps per lane over 4 lanes, total can be 1.6*4=6.4Gbps= 0.8MB, so it can work. Is my assumption correct?
