HD3SS3212: Supports XFI interface?

Part Number: HD3SS3212
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HD3SS3411

Hi,

I saw HD3SS3212 supports PCIE 3.0. Does it support XFI? I'm also looking at HD3SS3411.

Thanks.

  • Hi Jerry,

Could you give more detail on the application? What is the output Vpp and Vcm of your XFP transceiver (electrical side)? I believe that device can work for this as a simple switch, is the all the functionality you need from the device?  The key care-abouts are

    • Making sure device has the appropriate bandwidth
    • Making sure the input signal does not violate the maximum input voltage for the data path.
      •  Violating this will clip the signal and potentially make data unrecognizable to the end-point.

  • Hi Jerry,
