DS110DF410: How is CTLE adaptation completed?

Hi Team,

Please advise me on questions bellows.

According to the datasheet, DS110DF410 tries to optimize CTLE boost level scanning 32 of EQ table
Estimating FOM of each EQ index.

Q1. Does the device choose EQ level after scanning all 32 EQ index,
or stop scanning when it finds EQ index which makes FOM exceeds
a threshold?

Q2. Are there any register bits which controls above behavior?

Hi Mita-San,
1). Yes the device stops scanning once it finds EQ index which exceeds FOM.
2). There is a look-beyond register - reg 0x70[2:0] - that controls how many more EQ index should be tried after optimum FOM found. Default value for Reg 0x70[2:0] = 4'b0011. This means device will try three additional settings after best CTLE found.
