Hi TI employees

My customer USES the ds90ub954/953 design, but there is a problem at present, 954 cannot communicate with 953. At present, 954 of the customer can be connected to 953EVM, but 954EVM cannot be connected to 953 of the customer.

I then grounded the other end of the DOUT's coupling capacitor, which now seems to be connected, but with a strange problem. The following figure shows the action after Analog LaunchPAD is connected.

can you link the 953EVM and 954EVM? what is the 953's ID addr. here?

I mean, first of all, the customer's 954 cannot be connected to his 953. The customer's 954 can be connected to 953EVM normally, but the customer's 943 cannot be connected to 954EVM. Therefore, we judge that the customer's 953 is defective, and the customer's I2C address is 0x30.

I used Analog LaunchPAD to get the following figure. The figure looks a little strange. It seems that 954 and 953 are connected together

can you access the customer's 953 directly? if yes, you can check whether the back channel has bit error? the I2C would be stopped if bit error is detected. you also need check 954's 0x4d/4e when connected with customer's 953 board.
in summary, we suspect the link has bit error, the root cause is the design and layout issue. you can follow up d/s on the design guideline/request or refer to TI's EVM board design.
