DS90UB960-Q1: DS90UB960-Q1 application

Part Number: DS90UB960-Q1

Hello,

Could  you please help to confirm if this application is feasible? The FAKRA is 50ohm connector.

What we should pay attention to if this application could be realized.

Thank you

Best regards

kailyn

  • Kailyn,
yes, it can work. pls make sure the Board2's 960 ref. clock should be less or within +/-50ppm offset than the board's 953's refer. clock.
one option is that you can select the board2's 960 refer. clock as 24MHz, and board3's 960's ref. clock as 25MHz.

    regards,
    Steven
  • Hi Junqiang,

Thank you very much for your reply, and could you please help to  explain why the ref. clock should do this?  Except the  ref.clock,  during the whole link, could we need to pay attention to the cable insertion loss, how to ensure the signal integrity ? Do we have some related application notes for reference?

    Best regards

    Kailyn

  • regarding the SI, you can refer to the app. note list in the back part of the d/s. d/s also highlight the external circuit design and layout guideline. also, pls note all the high speed signal share the same SI rules, TI's LVDS owner manual is one classic book for your reference (released in www.ti.com, also is pasted in FPD-Link's d/s).

    Regards,
    Steven
