DS90UB927QEVM: I2C communication while 927/928 EVM

Part Number: DS90UB927QEVM

Hi,

Here we use 927/928 EVM and tried to connect I2C but failed.

After reading SNLA131A, here still got some question:

(Now the video is good through FPDLinkIII from 927 to 928)

1. The MCU(I2C host) should put in 927 side or 928 side or either one?

2. If now MCU want to read I2C data from External sensor, the device address should be 927's address? 928's address? or External sensor's address?

If not only to assign one address, is there any sample for reference?

3. From this kind of application, how should I set the config register?

Master/Slave? Slave address? Pass thru/Pass all?

Thank you very much.

C.T.

  • Hi CT,

MCU can be put any side. You can check both 927 and 928 have i2c pass-through, and alias. generally for this case, the MCU is put in 927 side in the real project as 928 is put in the panel side while 927 is put in the ECU side.

For your issue, pls check whether the EVM board's MCU is working? pls disconnect it in case of confliction.

    regards,

    Steven
