SN65HVD71: VOD parameter

Hi Team,

I have a question on SN65HVD7.

Since VID is -12V to 12V, the termination resistance is rated voltage higher than VID voltage.
What is the rated voltage of the termination resistor of VOD.
What voltage is VOD output? Is it output in the range of -7 to 12V? Or is it output with | VOD | of VOC = Vcc / 2?

Ishiwata,

Since RS-485 works with long distance communication, the ground potential could be different between transmitter and receiver ends. Therefore the driver generates a VOD around its VOC, while the receiver could see the same VOD in the range of -7V to 12V. In either way, the termination resistor should have a VOD voltage on it. Please let me know if you have more questions.
