Please allow me to ask a basic question for DP83825I. For user guide, there is "external MAC loopback". Could you please explain the detail of this function?

    Hi Satoshi,

    External MAC loopback is intended to verify the connectivity between the PHY and the MAC. The PHY can be put into different loopback modes.

    The MAC can also be put into a mode to loop packets back to the PHY if the MAC has such capability.
