DS90C402: Device Failure mode

Part Number: DS90C402

Hello Team,

My customer is requesting details below as they make their Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis.

Regarding device DS90C402:
1. On what particular conditions will the device fail?
2. During failure, how will the device behave? Will it propagate any signal that can affect surrounding device? Will it affect any data/signal received or sent?
3. Recommended schematic diagram or layout for this device.

Can you help to provide information? Thanks

Regards,

Roland

  • Hello Roland,

    1. The only data I have on this is the Abs Max Ratings in the datasheet. Exceeding those can lead to failures.
    2. During failure the behavior of the device cannot be guaranteed.
    3. I don't have schematics/layout for this device. However, the LVDS Owner's Manual has layout guidelines that are applicable for any LVDS device: www.ti.com/lit/ug/snla187/snla187.pdf .

    Regards,
