DS90UB953A-Q1: DS90UB953 use RJ45 or D-sub for high speed transmit

Hi,

For our customer size concern of view, they can't accept FPD-link connector.

So, they are think about small size connector, such as RJ45  or Hirose DH-37 D-sub connector.

Is okay for high speed transmission? (The transmission distance around 1.5m)

    Hi Hsian,

    953 is one SerDes which can be used for cable application. TI has specific request on this transmission medium, pls make sure your cable can be matched with our 953a design.

    generally, for auto market, the standard cable is Fakra or HSD for 4Gbps application. regarding the cable mentioned by you, you or your customer need make sure the selected cable can catch S11/S21 and shielding effectiveness request, these are important for your system-level high speed serial link margin design and EMC design!
