To whom may it concern,

I would like to design a interface board.

I have question about below its sub-block.

I don't want to use programming like I2C, I just prefer to hardwired GPIOs for setting DRP Sourcing device mode like docking station without Hub IC.

Can I use CC Controller for TUSB320 or TUSB321 to below application?

If yes, where can I refer to schematic for below application?

Also do you have any idea for below application?

Chanwook,

Are you planning on doing a data role swap after configuring your power path? If this is the case both blocks should be DRP but the CC controller block should change to PD Controller block. CC controllers do not have this function.

Could you recommend any PD controller IC of TI for my application?

I prefer that I don't want to use programming for communicating protocol like I2C.

Thanks Eric,

I read your suggestion, TPS65987D.
For my application that Data role is UFP, Power role is Source (5V 1A is OK),
I think that this needs to program I2C for my application. Is it right?
How can I use it except for I2C and SPI?
If I don't use I2C and SPI, how much supply max current for Tablet(host)? Is it available?

Hi Chanwook,

You must have an SPI Flash on the board to use the TPS65987D. This device would not work without it.
