Convert a signal from one voltage range to another

I have a square wave signal that varies between 6V and -8V. I need to convert it so that the range is 6V to -5V. Are there any parts that will do this?

Do you want to reduce the amplitude of the signal?

Should I apply diodes?

In = + 6V, -8V
Out = +5.3 V , --5.2V
