Customer give the feedback that TPS65987 can not pass the RS5 HLK test on windows 10, the laptop product is now under pending now, can you help to give the suggestion to customer? or can we provide them the Ucm client driver?

Hi Richard,

Do you know what UCM driver was used (version number and installer file name)?

Do you have a test report and logs of failing tests?

1. as for the Test Log, please refer to the attached Ucm Power Role Swap.pdf and Ucm Data RoleSwap.pdf；

2. UCM Driver is USB Connector Manager that mannages USB-C/PD for the system.

there are 3 ways：

a> UCSI

b> Write a Ucm client driver

c> Write a UcmTcpci client driver

as for a> , there is no need for the driver, but need to support UCSI, which is completed by the cooperation of EC and TypeC/PD FW.

but there is no communication approach between EC and TypeC/PD FW, customer do not know how to do it.

as for the b> and c>, customer do not know how to implement the way of Driver.

so can you help to give your solution here.
