DS90UB953-Q1: How to find whether my serializer is completely dead or not

Hello, when I am using the both deserializer and the serializer I am getting "No Link" but when I replace with new serializer board it works. If I am getting " No Link" is that mean my serializer is dead. Or is there any way how I can check.

Hi Casey,

This is a custom design.

Issue is: When I turn on the deserializer it powers the serializer via coax. But I don't get any output from the serializer and the message reported is no link. By any chance do you know what power rails I have to look for or is there any chance that the serializer is goes to reset mode.

Please check the serializer 1.8V power rail and the state of the PDB pin.

I checked the PDB pin and it was 0. Therefore the serializer is not powered ON. Also 1.8V power rail I could get only 0.7V. One of the STEP-DOWN CONVERTERS getting hot. I was thinking of replacing the component if it solves the issue.
