Dear all,

My customer want to save the flash of TPS65987, and share the PD external flash with EC and BIOS, can this possible?

Is there any concern from the system design view of point?

How much size the flash for the PD controller?

Hello John,

Yes this can be done. The TPS65987D integrates a feature where it can receive a patch bundle over the I2C lines from a central EC. You can follow this app note to help integrate into your customers system properly. 16kB will need to be allocated for the TPS65987D patch bundle.
