SN75DP130: P/N and Lane exchange

Part Number: SN75DP130

Hi team,

The customer is considering using SN75DP130 as DisplayPort Redriver IC with the 5.4Gbps 4lane specification.
I have a question about the specification of IC,

1, Is it possible to replace and use P / N of each lane of input / output?
2, Is it possible to switch lanes (IN: 0, 1, 2, 3 → OUT: 3, 2, 1, 0) with input and output?

Also, are there any other suitable parts?

Thanks

Best regards,

Shidara

You can swap the polarity of the lanes but polarity on input and output must be consistent. Meaning if the DP_Lane0_+ goes into the Lane _0- then the output Lane_ 0- must go to DP_Lane0_+.

Are you doing DP++ or just DP? For DP++, the DP130 has a different EQ setting for lane 3. Lane 3 for DP++ is TMDS_CLK and the DP130 has a fixed 3dB of EQ for that lane.

If it is DP only, you have configure DP130 via I2C to make sure the proper setting is applied to the proper swapped lane.

    Thanks
