in the specification I see that register 0x28 [1:0] that can select state machine. According to spec I should be able to change that register during normal operation. Is that a recommended way by TI of changing the behavior during normal operation?
The idea is that the device can be in different states, one state that is slave only mode (blank flashing or other), and a state where it's fully DRP operational. We would like to control the TPS65987D UFP vs DRP mode at will based on our judgement without resorting to flashing a different profile into SPI flash.
Is this possible?
