TUSB321AI: Powering VDD from VBUS for UFP

Hi,

I plan to use the TUSB321AI in a battery charger application. I'd like to power the TUSB321AI on the UFP port with VBUS (VDD = VBUS). Is that possible?

yes, but make sure vbus is less than 5.5v, pls refer fig 14 on TUSB320 datasheet

Thanks Brian, based on the TUSB321AI, VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V. Since the USB standard states VBUS = 4.75V to 5.25V sounds like we're OK to use VBUS to power VDD without the diode. We aren't using PD.
