TUSB1210: isolated USB OTG

hi,

we are looking for an isolated USB-OTG solution.

as almost no-one has it, I was considering to use TUSB121x + digital isolator ISO77xx (or even ISOW78xx).

do you have better proposal or a reference design to look at?

Hi Vincenzo,

We currently do not have any reference designs for this application but your selection seems on track. Will the isolation be on the USB side or parallel side?

Hi,

It may be easier to find some isolation devices for the USB side than the parallel side. I will loop in the ISO team as they may have more insight into this kind of design.

Hi Vincenzo,

After further conversation on this thread among our colleagues, we concluded that if the MCU you are using supports ULPI that is compatible with the TUSB1210, then these channels can be isolated using multiple ISO77xx.

What are the switching / timing requirements for the isolator? Please let me know and we can confirm compatibility.

hi,

customer will use only host mode for stick so probably isolation is not needed.
the TUSB1210 is the best option, correct?

Hi,

For USB to ULPI interface, TUSB1210 is the best device.
