I think the re-drivers in the middle of channels may not need to be used (the maximum gain of EQ is 14,4dB, it can compensate the channel loss caused Switch IC & PCB trace). But according to my simulation results, if using large EQ gain to compensate large channel loss, the jitter problem is very serious -> Eye diagram performance is so bad.

I don't think you need the re-driver in the middle of channel.

My concern is the DC loss. propagation delay, skew, and jitter across the entire topology (Passive switch + PCB trace loss). While DP142 can compensate the AC loss, it will not compensate for the DC loss (reduction of signal amplitude). The source has to boost its signal amplitude to compensate for the DC loss.

Is there any ways to solve the problems as you mentioned (DC loss, propagation delay, skew and jitter)? Whether or not DP v1.4 Re-timer?

I am doing some channel simulations (using the model of HD3SS214 & TDP142 provided by TI) but the results is very bad, it does not meet the requirements of DP 1.4 standard (I based on the eye diagram to evaluate the results). The main problem is extremely large jitter.

Could you kindly give me some advices to solve this? I really appreciate about that.

Currently, I'm implementing an application using two HD3SS214 SW ICs and two TDP142 re-driver ICs per one channel as figure below. I am being very confused connecting AUX lines. Could you kindly give me some advice about this? Is the connection of the AUX lines in the figure correct?
