TFP410: HDCP and royalty

Hello,

I have a quick one for the TFP410: As of my understanding, this does not HDCP and therefore not associated with any royalty.

Can you confirm there is no need to pay any licensing fee to design and include this circuit on a board?

    Hi Marc,

    Yes, you are correct. The TFP410 does not have HDCP so no royalty or licensing fee would be required in that regard. If it is used to implement HDMI then it's possible that you will need to be licensed by HDMI LLC though, but I am not sure on the details about that.
