ESDS302: ESD chosen for MSP430 VCC pin

Hi,

my customer is using MSP430FR2311, and find the VCC pin sometimes burn down @ voltage overshoot 3.8V, the maximum of VCC pin is 3.6V.

Is there an ESD device will solve this issue? Thanks.

Are you trying to protect from an ESD event? Or is it a DC event that causes the device to break?

It's a DC event last for around 6ms. Could you please help on this? Thanks.

For this I believe you will need something like a zener diode. However I do not believe that a pulse of 3.8V for 6ms will break the MSP430.
