DS100BR111A: 6G 4w mil SAS/SATA solution

Hi team,

My customer has a new requirement below.

1. can support 6G SAS/ SATA

2. can support 40,000 mil length and can be put in the middle of the length.(20,000mil length point)

Could you please help check the solution?

    HI Frank,
    DS100BR111A has about 36dB gain at 5GHz. Since we are operating at 6G, I expect maximum gain at 3GHz to be at about 30dB. I would recommend using DS100BR111A when insertion loss on its input is within 5 to 30dB. If you have less loss, SAS-2 drive or HBA normally can compensate for this type of loss by itself.
