TUSB8044A: Can TUSB8044A support a host and a device on the downward side?

Hi Support Team

My Customer is building a product that has USB3.1 w PD that is supported by their SOC. They want to connect a hub to this port and connect to external connectors to the outside world. The question is can they use this device to connect to a PC (USB2.0/USB3.x) where the pc is the hosts and also connect to other peripherals (device) with the other USB ports?

Would you please provide a block diagram of what they are trying to implement?

The host can only be connected to the UFP of the hub and downstream device can only be connected to the DFP port of the hub, you can't connect both host and device to the DFP port of the hub. But we may able to find other solution to meet their requirement.
