DS90UB954-Q1EVM: Operation of a 4 lane de-serialiser with 2 lane DS90UB935 serialiser

General Question.

I have an application using DS90UB954 de-serialiser to receive output from DS90UB935 serialiser.

The serialiser outputs 2 lanes but the deserialiser implementation can only be configured as 4 lanes.

While this arrangement is functioning it is not clear whether there are any undesirable side effects.
